Review ~ Secret by Kindle Alexander!!
Author: Kindle Alexander
Amazon U.S. link: Secret
Tristan Wilder, self-made millionaire and devastatingly handsome CEO of Wilder-Nation is on the verge of a very lucrative buyout. With tough negotiations ahead, he's armed with his acquisition pitch, ready to launch the deal of a lifetime. There’s just one glitch. The last thing he expects is to fall for the hot business owner he's trying to sway.
Dylan Reeves, computer science engineer and founder of the very successful social media site, Secret, is faced with a life-altering decision. A devoted family man with three kids and a wife, Dylan has been living a secret for years. Fiercely loyal to his convictions, his boundaries blur after meeting the striking owner of the corporation interested in acquiring his company. For the first time in his life, reckless desire consumes him when the gorgeous computer mogul makes an offer he can't refuse.
"Damn, he swore being in Dylan's arms felt like home."
That's one of my favorite quotes....and there are so many great ones as per usual in any Kindle Alexander book! The way this story starts will have you thinking either there is some serious cheating going on or the book is labeled incorrectly for genre. Ha! Neither is true! The picture-perfect family act will only fool you for a short time. However, each member of this unconventional family is really lovable! Our two main characters meet when Tristan's company has won the bid to purchase a proprietary social media app from Dylan's company. And what app is it? Shhh! It's Secret! Of course!
When Tristan and Dylan meet to discuss the details of their business merger, sparks fly immediately albeit in the closet for Dylan. And although Tristan was wild and free and very publicly out, he was adorable and not an egotistical playboy. He was the perfect foil for closeted and protective Dylan who put everyone ahead of himself. Yes, their connection was instant lust...yet both felt a deeper bond very quickly. Turns out these two have so much more in common that you'd have thought....they truly complete each other. The ups and downs of coming together (Ha! I do mean that in both the emotional and naughty sense of the word) are intriguing and sweet. I was happy that Kindle avoided the typical angst but yet kept the story interesting. That social media app that brought the two companies together is pretty cool......maybe Dylan and Tristan will get that up and running for us asap. ;)
The ending is sweet...and funny....and as usual I remember why Kindle Alexander is an auto-buy for me! If you enjoy sweet romance, typical family drama and hot guys....trust me...you'll enjoy this book!
